The World As We See It - Book

This book serves as the final outcome of the #4TheCulture Digital Photography Program. Over the course of five weeks, students engaged in a variety of field experiences, which included visits to local museums and photography studios. They were guided by a dedicated team consisting of Dee Dwyer, an esteemed professor from Howard University, renowned for her expertise in photography; Dr. NiLa Austin, an international psychologist and distinguished educator, who also serves as the Director of Student Experience for the District of Columbia Public School system; and Sabrina Allen, a passionate educator, coach, and native of Washington, D.C. In addition to receiving comprehensive photography instruction, students were encouraged to assume leadership roles in the realm of visual storytelling. This guidance acted as a catalyst for their creative inspiration, resulting in the creation of a significant body of work. "The World As We See It" offers a unique opportunity for society to perceive the world through the distinct perspectives of these young individuals.
